May-Lissa Affricot
Psychotherapist, Registered Social Worker
Individuals, couples, and trauma survivors managing anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, and relationship challenges.
What problem do you strive to overcome?
Life’s challenges can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself and those around you. Whether it’s navigating trauma, managing anxiety, or working through relationship struggles, these experiences can feel isolating and heavy.
I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can begin to process these challenges. Together, we’ll explore your emotions, uncover strengths, and develop tools to help you regain control and balance in your life. My goal is to empower you to build resilience, foster emotional well-being, and create healthier connections with yourself and others.
Experience
I am a Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Social Work. I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and relationship difficulties. My approach is warm, empathetic, and tailored to your unique needs, ensuring that you feel supported every step of the way.
I integrate evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). These tools allow me to provide both immediate relief and long-term growth, empowering you to build resilience, deepen self-awareness, and foster meaningful connections.

More Than Just My Work
I find joy in reading and writing, as they allow me to connect with new ideas and reflect on life’s journey. These passions inspire my work as a therapist, where I help clients rewrite their personal stories and discover pathways to healing and growth.
